I Love Themed Weddings!

Thursday, December 3rd, 2009

A theme wedding is my favorite. They can really be a blast. I just went to one of the best weddings and receptions I’ve ever attended. The ceremony and reception was done in country western.
They chose a small country church to hold the wedding ceremony. The church was beautifully decorated with satin ribbon and bows, flowers and candles. The baby blue dresses that the bridesmaids and flower girl wore were simply gorgeous, and the flowered hair pieces were a lovely added touch. The little ring boy was adorable in his little tux, and the groomsmen were very handsome in theirs, with the white boutonnieres in the lapels. But the real attraction was the beautiful bride and her elegant groom. They were a picure perfect couple. After the ceremony the bride and groom left the church in a horse drawn buggy.
The couple were having their reception at the country house they had bought a couple of months before. This was a prime piece of property, with a nice house, a barn and two acres of land. What a wonderful place to start a new life together, it’s perfect.
You could tell at one glance how hard she worked at setting this reception in motion. Everything was fantastic. Each checkered tablecloth had centerpieces of wild flowers in little metal buckets. She did a fantastic job, not just with the décor, but also the themed weddings. Around the reception tables it was lit up with lanterns and white christmas lights everywhere. There were bales of hay stacked here and there with corn stalks on the barn doors. They made sure there were plenty of things the kids would enjoy as well as the adults. My husband and I did a little dancing while some played horse shoes or gave apple bobbing a try. It was great fun for everyone.
The wedding cake was spectacular and the wedding topper had us all in stitches. The cutest cake topper I’ve ever seen. They even had country themed champagne flutes for the bridal toast. There were also adorable little cowboy hats were the place card holders for every guest. I thought that was very creative.
The food they chose for the reception was unbelievable. Since they did a lot of grilling, we had our choice of steaks, ribs, and chicken, plus all kinds of salads and vegetables. There was more than enough to eat. Lots of music, dancing, games and food to last all evening. It was a great country western themed reception.
There was another themed reception I went to that was also a lot of fun, it was a beach themed reception. The beauty of a beach wedding is just amazing. It’s so romantic with the sunset above the ocean. It’s like a romantic novel with the crashing of waves and the warm gentle breeze all around you. If I ever get married, I think this is the type of ceremony and reception I would want to have.
The bridesmaids wore gorgeous summer dresses and the groomsmen wore drawstring pants and linen shirts. She made a lovely bride in her ocean blue flowing crepe dress, and he was such a handsome groom in his white linen beach outfit. This was definitely a dream come true wedding ceremony.
Not only was the ceremony fantastic, but the reception was exceptional too. The reception tables were decorated with gorgeous beach themed accessories. She had a wonderful idea for centerpieces, with seashells, starfish and orchids surrounding two large white candles in a tray of sand. She had the most adorable sea shell place card holders and beautiful beach themed champagne glasses on all her tables.
She did a marvelous job decorating in a beach motif, from her wedding cake topper to the lovely theme wedding invitations that I was infatuated with. This was one of the most memorable weddings I’ve ever attended.

Elegant Theme Wedding Decorations For Your Wedding!

I love attending a theme wedding. They can really be a blast. I got to go to a really super wedding and reception last weekend. It was all done in a country western motif.
The ceremony took place in a small country church. The church was beautifully decorated with satin ribbon and bows, flowers and candles. With the flowered hair pieces and the lovely baby blue dresses the bridesmaids and flower girl looked spectacular. The tuxes with the white boutonnieres in the lapels made the groomsmen and the little ring boy looked quite handsome. But the real attraction was the beautiful bride and her elegant groom. They were such a lovely couple. A horse drawn buggy awaited to take the bride and groom to the reception.
The couple had purchased a nice little ranch outside of town and that’s where they decided to have their reception. This was a prime piece of property, with a nice house, a barn and two acres of land. What a wonderful place to start a new life together, it’s perfect.
She did a fantastic job arranging her reception. Everything was fantastic. Wild flowers centered on each table really gave it that down home look. She did a fantastic job, not just with the décor, but also the wedding themes. Around the reception tables it was lit up with lanterns and white christmas lights everywhere. With the décor consisting of hay bales and corn stalks on the barn doors, this really gave the perfect appearance of a country reception. They made sure there were plenty of things the kids would enjoy as well as the adults. Some of the kids were bobbing for apples while others were into a wild game of horse shoes, and still others were trying their hand at line dancing. It was great fun for everyone.
They had a gorgeous cake with a funny country western cake topper that gave everyone a good laugh. The cutest cake topper I’ve ever seen. The western themed champagne flutes were really unique. There were also adorable little cowboy hats were the place card holders for every guest. I thought that was very creative.
There was plenty of delicious foods for everyone at the party. Since they did a lot of grilling, we had our choice of steaks, ribs, and chicken, plus all kinds of salads and vegetables. There was more than enough to eat. Lots of music, dancing, games and food to last all evening. We all had a wonderful time at the country western themed party.
Another fun reception is a beach party reception. There is nothing more beautiful than a beach wedding ceremony. The sun setting in the water makes a very romantic scene. With the feel of warm breezes and the sounds of the water, you can feel the romance in the air. If I ever get married, I think this is the type of ceremony and reception I would want to have.
The bridesmaids wore gorgeous summer dresses and the groomsmen wore drawstring pants and linen shirts. Her gorgeous crepe bridal dress was as blue as the ocean waters, and his white linen attire made him even more handsome than he already was. The whole ceremony was absolute perfection, just like dream.
Not only was the ceremony fantastic, but the reception was exceptional too. Everything for her table décor had something to do with the oceanside. She had a wonderful idea for centerpieces, with seashells, starfish and orchids surrounding two large white candles in a tray of sand. She had the most adorable sea shell place card holders and beautiful beach themed champagne glasses on all her tables.
Her beach décor was fabulous and she had everything from a beach cake topper to theme wedding invitations that worked perfectly. This was one of the most memorable weddings I’ve ever attended.
